Judith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Certified Addictions Counselor, in Illinois, and a Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association.
She brings over 30 years of experience to helping people with a range of mental health and recovery issues.
She has a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University School of Social Work. She also has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Judith has extensive, advanced training and practice in Yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra, as well as Mindfulness- Based cognitive therapy, and dialectic behavioral therapy approaches.
Judith has had a private practice in psychotherapy since 1998. She specializes in working with depression, anxiety, substance abuse recovery, communication skills, meditation practices, and the development of creativity.
She worked for many years in outpatient mental health settings, providing individual, family, couples and group therapy, for adults and children. In addition, she has worked with people who have chronic severe mental illness, in psychiatric hospitals and in partial hospitalization programs.
Therapy is based in learning to how to feel, understand, and accept emotions. Working with thought patterns, self care and breathing, are foundations for lasting change and inner transformation.
